Braumiller Schulz LLP announces the latest addition to our team: Former Assistant Port Director Sue-Ann Linnemann!

Sue-Ann Linnemann just retired from Customs & Border Protection after 34 years of service! She began her career in Nogales, Arizona and worked in several positions in Entry, Inspection & Control and Import Specialist.

In 1993 she was promoted to the position of Assistant District Director in Dallas. This promotion coincided with the passage of the NAFTA and Customs Mod Act regulations whereupon Sue took the lead in teaching the provisions of these programs in North Texas, and at several national conferences, such as MexCon, and the Economist Magazine.

In 1998 she transferred to the Office of International Trade, and was instrumental in the development of the Information Technology and the Agriculture Strategic Plans for the agency.

In 2005 she was named the Assistant Port Director for the Area Port of Dallas which includes Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Austin, and San Antonio. She has been active in the development of new User Fee Airports and Foreign Trade Zones.

Sue is a past President of the Dallas chapter of the Organization of Women in International Trade. She has also written articles for various trade magazines, and was featured in an issue of the Journal of Commerce highlighting women in international trade. As a gifted speaker and teacher, Sue has presented at many businesses, professional organizations, and training programs across the United States.

At Braumiller Schulz, Sue will continue to lecture, write, consult, and advise on various Customs and trade-related matters.
