Ashley McCauley advises companies on a wide variety of international trade matters, including compliance with U.S. and international export regulatory regimes. She has advised companies on matters regulated under the EAR, ITAR, FTR, FCPA, and OFAC. Her export practice covers compliance programs and training in dual-use, defense, and deemed exports, Voluntary Self-Disclosures, and economic sanctions programs. She has assisted companies with compliance with all aspects of export controls, including classification, licensing, broker registration, technology transfers and enforcement actions.

She also assists companies with import regulations and matters before U.S. Customs and Border Protection. She has assisted large companies with complex C-TPAT validations and revalidations, and represented importers in Customs seizure cases. In 2011, she was invited to present at an export compliance seminar on the SEC’s proposed rules regarding the Dodd-Frank Act’s conflict mineral legislation and associated supply chain investigations.

Ashley is a graduate of the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, where she was the President and founder of the Texas Wesleyan International Law Society. She also received academic credit for an independent paper focusing on the Export Administration Regulations. She previously interned for a Senior International Trade Advisor at the Department of Commerce’s North Texas Export Assistance Center in Grapevine, Texas.
